10 km race walk - 43:00 - 5th place

It was a really hard day, hot + windy.. I gave it my all and it was enough for this. Today i learned a lot, and meeting with friends always feels good! 😁 
Over all i am satisfied with this result, but i am eager for more! 🤓

20 km National Championships – 3rd place Unfort 20 km National Championships – 3rd place

Unfortunately, today didn’t go as planned. I caught some kind of illness on Tuesday, which completely ruined the form I had built up over months…

My time result was quite weak, but the main goal today became clear after 3–4 km: just to finish.
By 10 km I had completely slowed down – it felt really bad…

After my last post, I’d like to highlight the positives:
✅ I made my debut in my new club
✅ I finished the race – I didn’t give up
✅ I didn’t get a single warning

We’ll forget this day quickly and keep working forward!
Right now, the focus is on getting back to full health – we’ll dedicate next week to that, then… 😼

From now on, my eyes are on the European Race Walking Championships. 🫡

In October 2021, I joined Honvéd Szondi György SE, and now the time has come to embark on new challenges. I am grateful for the past years, the support, the teamwork, and the experiences that have contributed to my growth.

1st place in Dudince! 🥳 Yesterday, the Dudinsk 1st place in Dudince! 🥳

Yesterday, the Dudinska 50 race was held in Slovakia, one of the biggest gold-category race walking events.
I competed in one of the supplementary events, the 10 km race walk. We decided on this race because the 20 km national championships will take place in Békéscsaba in two weeks, and this was a perfect test/training race for that. 🤞

A short summary:
We started together with the 20 km men’s field, and there were quite a lot of us. Right from the start, I positioned myself in the lead group because I knew the 20 km guys were strong, which could be beneficial for me. We stayed together for 3-4 km, but then they picked up the pace from 4:08 min/km to 4:00 min/km, which was still too fast for me.
Up until 5-6 km, I had two Ukrainian guys ahead of me, and I tried to keep up with them, but they also surged, so I ended up alone from that point on. Around 7 km, I hit a small rough patch, but I managed to push through it in the final two laps! I stayed focused throughout and maintained a fairly steady pace.

The goal was a time of 41:20, and I just managed to achieve it!
1st place – 41:18

I hope this result gives my preparation a boost for the upcoming 20 km races. It really did my soul good to accomplish what we had set out to do!

There’s something good in every day, even if it’s sometimes hard to find.

Some days, everything feels easy—the training goes well, the legs are light, and everything falls into place. Then there are the days when you wake up tired, the session doesn’t go as planned, and it’s hard to find anything positive.

But the most important thing isn’t for every session to be perfect. It’s about finding the positives in each day. Maybe today my pace wasn’t great, but I got it done. Maybe I didn’t complete the full session, but I still took a step closer to my goal.

Sport (and life) isn’t about everything always being perfect. In my opinion, it’s about finding something that keeps you motivated, even on the tough days.

I’m writing this because last weekend, I couldn’t complete my planned session, and yesterday, I couldn’t hit my target pace. In these moments, I try to focus on the things that help me move forward, such as:
✅ I’m healthy,
✅ I’m still progressing toward my goals,
✅ One bad session doesn’t define an entire training period—you have to look at the bigger picture,
✅ Even after tough days, I go to bed knowing I want to be a champion, and tomorrow—and the day after—I will do everything I can to achieve that!

How do you stay motivated on difficult days?

5,000m racewalk – 20:20

A strong start, but a tough finish…
My goal was to break 20 minutes, but it didn’t happen this time. I started at the planned pace with Bence, but I couldn’t hold it today. By halfway, my legs felt completely numb, and I slowed down to the finish.

Still, this race was just a test after the training camp, so the result isn’t the most important thing. We’ll take the lessons, keep working, and come back stronger!
